英語読書会出席。

今日は二度目の、英語読書会出席。まだ、井戸端会議の最中で、オバサンたちのじゃまをしてしまったようだ。次回からは、３０分遅れで来た方がよい、と言われた。小生は、あくまで、面接試験のウオーミングアップのつもりである。こんな会合に参加させていただくだけでもありがたい。六ページ進んだ。ひとりでだとなかなかこうは行かないだろう。アダムスミスの国富論ではないが、一本のピンを作るのにひとりだと、一日一本も無理なのに、共同作業をすることによって、百本も作れるのだ、と。まさに、そうだ。勉強も一人でははかどらない、と感じさせられた。
